This weekend Steven and I made the trip to Saturn of Savannah to make our very first NEW VEHICLE purchase!!! We traded in both the cars for the Saturn VUE. Both our cars weren't fit for safety and repairs were inevitable. So we made the decision to get this over with before the baby arrives (4 weeks by the way!!)!!!!! This vehicle is perfect for us, it is a crossover so the size is just right and the gas mileage is way better than the jeep. We love the technology and safety specs of the VUE. We have OnStar free for a year and we can even use it as a phone!! THAT IS SO COOL :) The are 6 standard airbags and these things basically outline the inside of the car, so we know we have that extra safety! The Tech hook ups are neat, steven has a little compartment for his iPod (already in place) ,iPod/MP3 input jack and XM Satellite Radio. The glove box can fit a 12 inch laptop, :) that is funny. We love the size of the glove box, and we even have a drawer under the passenger seat! CAN YOU TELL WE LOVE IT!!!
My good friend Dana and Gavin (7mo.) came to visit us for the weekend. We had a great relaxing weekend just visiting and playing with the baby. Steven and I sure got a taste of what to expect around the house soon to come!! Constant feeding, sleeping, and diaper changes. All to keep a happy baby, and boy was he ever the best and most happiest baby!! Dana is about out of the Navy ( approximately 4 or 5 months left) hopefully she will be moving to Wilmington, North Carolina so we can visit more often!! Here are a few pictures of little Gavin!!
Mom, Dad, Roscoe and I were at Old Sheldon Church Ruins taking pictures and we heard an awful noise back in the woods! I had to go explore, so for back up Dad and Roscoe came along. As we approached we thought it was a very large bird behind the fence, as we came to find it was an abandoned pup!! Amazing that people can just dump their animals and be so careless!!!!! He has been through a lot by the scrapes he has all over his body and under his paw pads, he is a really tough cookie and can be very rough at times. I wonder if he was the survivor of a litter or just a single abandonment! We will never know, but I am out to find him the best home ever, just like the Rabbit! Calling on the Palmettto Animal League to help assist in placing him in a very good home. We wish we could keep him but we already have two fur babies and one a real baby on the way. For now he is a foster fur baby #2.
Thanks to the gift card from Dan,Jason and Micah we got paint to fix up the baby room!! Dad and Steven did a lot of taping and did a perfect job! Well, of course Mom and I helped we made it perfect ha ha !! The boys did the most of the work and it looks so great, more pictures will come when the room is completely set up, this is just a taste :)
